Venture Technical Resources is a firm devoted to helping our clients grow and develop by helping clients recruit technically skilled employees and by providing technically skilled consultants for client projects.  VTR specializes in finding the right technical skills and competencies to fit clients’ needs.  We focus on how a candidate might fit, not on lists of tools.  We focus on areas of creativity and solutions — on ways to help our client grow stronger.

Established in 2003, our firm boasts a track record of placing full time and consulting professionals in engineering and information technology positions.  The firm’s business has been approximately evenly split between filling full time positions and providing consultants to clients.  For business involving consultants who remain employees of VTR, Inc., the firm maintains full Workers Compensation coverage.  All our work is covered under General Liability coverage of $1,000,000.

VTR works in all areas of technology, from engineering disciplines and scientific applications to embedded software and Healthcare IT.  We focus on providing select, talented individuals with extensive hands-on experience as contractors to our clients; we expect these resources will provide an independent, objective source of help, advice, and feedback on projects.  VTR is a boutique firm: we do not pretend or attempt to be a technical advisory/consulting firm that also provides substantial temporary help on projects, a role we see as rife with conflicts of interest.

Experience has taught us that in order for us to be successful our candidates have to be successful.  We are dedicated to finding the right candidate for our client, and the right position for the candidate.  As a result, we perform appropriate background reference checks and we work to find out the core competencies and goals of candidates.  We strive to appropriately understand the position and environment a candidate will face in order to ensure success.  VTR remains involved with our client and the candidate after the hiring process to make sure that lines of communication remain open.  We continue working with our client and candidate, knowing that communication and people skills are often in relatively short supply in many technical areas, but that they are essential for success.
